XP home SP2 update abort abnormally

I have been waiting for long until now I am comfortable to update the SP2 on
my Dell PC. Unfortunately, it aborts in the middle. When I started, it went
into the wizard with inspection, backup files, create inventory,,, and then
all a sudden, the wizard window closed and an error message saying the update
is failed.

I tried twice but get the same result.

Any help?
