I have just started getting popups saying I am no longer secure and should
download SP2. (Why only now, why not last year when this all seems to have
been an issue?) I have followed the instructions and checked requirements -
233 MHz processor - I have 2.99, 64 MB RAM - I have 512, 1.8 GB available
hard disk - I have 103 GB free. (Is this less or more and what do I do if it
is less?) V.2002 does not appear to be on the excluded list but nothing
happens. My automatic update profile shows recent updates but now when I
manually check as instructed the update thing just runs and runs. I am down
to totally freezing at some point and having to switch off at the mains to re
boot. I am not a heavy user and I do not have broadband. I run off the phone
line. What should I try please.

Hi - I did explore the CD offer but I do not like buying on line and it is a
ridiculous amount of money to pay especially when they then say pass it
round. My questions about do I have enough hard drive to install SP2 etc not
answered. I still seem to be getting 'updates available' messages. Perhaps
wanting to understand what is going on is asking too much. Thanks for your
response.
