I can get to the boot choice page
The only option that does anything isturn off automatic restart
when I chose this I get a blur screen telling me to uninstall anti virus
software
wHICH HAPPENS TO BE Microsoft OneCare Which kept turning itself off
prior to the unable to start window problem.
Can I use my recovery disc without lossing everything on my hard drive

Not a Media Center related question, repost to the xp.general group or
contact the PC's mfg for assistance with their recovery procedure.
