xp reinstall with 2 hard drives

I want to reinstall xp but I have two hard drives. One has alot of saved
video on it via Pinnacle studio 8. The secon hard drive is in 2 partitions
and are listed as my g and h drives. If I reinstall xp and pinaccle, how do
I keep my data safe and keep the same drive letters?

I have Pinnacle installed with XP home edition. I set up the Pinnacle to
load the video from the camcorder on my second hard drive which I partitioned
into 2 drives, G & H, the secon partition I use for MY DVD software. What I
want to know is if after I format my C drive and install the xp and Pinn.
will the system still recocgnize the drives as g and h? thanks for any help
