Hi, can anyone help me please?
I have just installed XP Service pack 2, everything seems ok except for the
folowing:
Every time i pick the control panel from the start menu it will hang and
then not open, thus giving a error message regarding a "hangup". sometimes it
will open the main folder and show a torch searching whereas other times
nothing will happen at all. If i am using any other programes at the time
they will aslo freeze / not respond. Thus resulting in ending problems via
ctrl - alt - delete and with a restart when this does not work / freezes.
It is strange, as after first installing XP SP2 it would only do it the
first time i clicked it (for every time i used my pc) and then it worked ok
afterwards. But now it wont let me get into the control panel at all?
It is really annoying as i cannot access my basic pc stuff / tools etc.
I have done a virus check with the latest definitions (norton) so i dont
think it is a virus problem.
Service pack 2 was installed onto a packard bell imedia 5093 pc, with xp
home edition factory pre installed.
