OK, please hold the train ! This system is infected with at minimum, spam. Likely has worse malware. You must clean it first, before going to get & applying service pack 2. There's no other choice.
Disconnect the physical connections to the internet until after cleanup. You'll need to use another system that is "clean" to download cleanup tools. Put the cleanup tools on a CD (burn a CD) or better, put on removable USB memory sticks.
