Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel
Double click "Service Pack 2" and follow prompts to uninstall.
If that fails, System Restore to Date/Time before SP-2 was installed:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore
If you post the exact error message someone may be able to help you.
A Windows XP newsgroup may be best for the error messages:

For the NVIDIA issue, go to the manufacturers website and get the latest
Windows XP driver.
