After installing sp2 windows now requires activation at every start.
I have to activate over the internet each time.

Before sp2 I activated only once when I installed WinXP Pro.

??????

Any help?

Thanks

Start here:
Reboot to Safe Mode:
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu

Start/Run
Type "regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll" ENTER
Type "regsvr32.exe licdll.dll" ENTER

Reboot.
Activate again
Reboot

Tried this solution. WinXP still requires activation at every boot.

Thanks

Was anything else used to bypass or change Activation when Window XP was
initially installed?

Perform a Repair Installation:

I don't know of anything. Activated XP normally during initial install.
I'll try a repair install.

Thanks
