XP SP2 download failure - help plz

I updated my BIOS ( BIOS 30 ) before attempting the download.
I have tried to download the XP SP2 about 4 times already, but each time the
same thing happens.
right in the middle of the process, I get these error messages :

first this one :

" An unexpected error ocurred while running the Flash application. please
reboot and try again.
if the error continues, please contact technical help.

Application Error Return : 0x00000608
Windows Error Return : 0x00000IE7"


and then this one :


"Unable to read from or write to the database."



someone plz explain how this is happening.

Deleting or renaming the .log files in the folder
%windir%\Security\ (and maybe in %windir%\System32\CatRoot2\
as well) should solve the "Unable to read from or write to the
database." problem.

(%windir% is typically C:\Windows)

I have created a batch file that does exactly this (and some
additional steps as well).
