XP SP2 Install No Internet

I recently finally got SP2 to install. Now I have no internet connection.

Funny thing is that I have two computers networked. The other networked
computer has an internet connection which it gets from the first one. Yet the
first computer doesn't even recognize it at all. Tell me that isn't screwed
up.

I tried allowing norton in the firewall and that did not help.

I'm just wondering if other people had the same issue with SP2 and how it's
fixed!

I would turn of the "windows" firewall at first just as a test then see what
happens. If that works then you know you need to tweak your firewall setup.

Well after messing around with it all afternoon, I found the issue. For
whatever reason, the computer is stopping services that the computer needs
for networking and internet. I had to physically go into:

%SystemRoot%\System32\services.msc /s

Find the DHCP and then start it. I also had to tell it to restart the
service if it stops.
That seemed to fix it. But still am working on the network problems.j
