XP SP2 installation failure 0xFFFFFC06

Any ideas on getting the SP2 to install after getting this error code? Have
tried several times and am getting nowhere fast.

At the very least, you'll know where to look for relevant log files that
may provide a clue as to why SP2 is failing to install.
If you find errors in the Svcpack.log or the setupapi.log, then post
them back here so someone can assist you.

From where are you attempting to install SP2 ... from Windows/Microsoft
Update; did you manually download the entire package; from CD ?
