XP SP2 Installation Failure...need help with svcpack.log

(originally posted in XP General, was kindly suggested that I post it here....

I ran a SP2 update on a machine last night (9/30) and found it had hung and
not finished this morning. I started it at 8:00 PM and here's a section of
svcpack.log that looks odd...

it seems to have stopped at the line 2942.313 on the hscupde.exe
command.......any ideas why it may have stopped here?

I restarted the machine this morning after 8:00 when I could not log in at
all.
