Basically,
I use a 2 yo XP system with lots of propriety drivers (OEMvideo, etc)
from Medion, a German OEM (
www.medion.com -
www.medionusa.com)
Medion is a real champ in providing (and not updating) propriety
components. Their current driver page stopped being updated in 2002
for this 2002 P4 model.
Their local Dutch branch informed me that this "old" 2 GHz P4 system
would require new drivers, which Medion
does not intend to update for SP2.
Which forces me to stay with SP1.
I hope MS realises I'm absolutely not the only one,
and basically, their is no way of checking beforehand
what SP2 will to do to this system.
Anyway, thanks for your reaction.
