XP SP2 update history

Can anyone tell me where the data and/or file is stored that contains the
information you see when displaying windows update history. Is it on the
local PC or on a MS server somewhere?

The history shown on the Microsoft or Windows Update sites is stored
locally, in

WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\DataStore.e db

Configuring the installed antivirus to *not* scan that particular file
is highly recommended since it is locked :
