I'm running XP Home, on a PC I built with soundblaster 5.1 surond sound the
SP3 update has taken out my sound, do I have to roll back or is there a fix
for this ? All the answers thus far seem to be for Vista, but some of us
still use the older OS. Thanks for any help on this matter

I Fixed this, simply disabled the IDT Audio in my Device Manager, if anyone

If the sound card is Soundblaster why is 'IDT Audio failure' in the
subject line ?

http://www.soundblaster.com/Support/

Check to see if there is any known issue with the installed Soundblaster
card and SP3.
Did you try uninstalling drivers/rebooting and then reinstalling the
existing drivers ?
