I also can't do a system restore and get the same message.
SP3 made my computer hang so I unistalled it, having done so it has still
made many changes and lots of files are missing.
Device mannager is missing along with all Windows help files all Dell help
files and my network connections too.
My PC now takes a very long time and has to search to open 'my computer'.
I have thousands of photos on my computer and it has even caused a problem
with those, many now take a very long time before they will appear.
Unless Microsoft can come up with an answer very soon it's looking like all
I can do is go back to factory settings.....that is if it hasn't messed with
those files also!
