Hi,
I've recently upgraded XP Professional with sp2. I now notice the start up
screen now only says Windows XP and does not indicate that it's the
Professional version. Nothing drastic, but it's annoying. How can I get this
back?

You can't and still keep SP-2.
That is a change with SP-2, all 4 versions of Windows XP now have the same
page to simplify the code.

You can't. Microsoft incorporated a common start logo so that there would
not have to be separate SP2's for home or Professional.

Your XP Professional is still XP Pro. Only the boot logo has changed.

Bobby;
Not quite.
SP-1 was the same for the versions of Windows XP but those screens remained
unchanged.
It did simplify the code for the programmers by standardizing it on the four
versions of Windows XP.
Now it only has to be done once instead of four times.
