XP update / Reboots on its own and registry restores...

I get the above referred error whhile going to the auto update windows XP
Home Edition.

I recently upgraded from Win98SE to WINDOWS XP SP2

Since then., computer reboots on its own and restarts again and also gives
registry has been modified and restored messages.

WHERE IS THE PROBLEM ?? WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ???

PLEASE HELP.

When you say "upgraded" do you mean you upgraded over the top of
Windows 98SE or did you do a clean install.
