I have 2 laptops and I'm trying to run the transfer wizard. Everything
seemed to be going fine but then what I believed to be close to the end, I
got this error

Migration failed: Access is denied.

I tried running the wizard again but it happend again. Not sure if it was at
the same spot (don't think it was).

old laptop xp home, new one is vista home premium.

Try turning off UAC (User Account Control) on the Vista system as it may be
a security issue. Open Control Panel, go to
User Accounts and click "Turn User Account Control On or Off." Once
everything is transferred running properly, you can turn it back on.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up transferring only the files in the user
folders and favorites, not program settings and stuff. It worked fine doing
just that.
