XP wont update, doesnt show an error message

well i havent installed win.update in about a month. It's not updating
properly, and everytime it says "the follow.... blah blah blah.... were not
installed"

and it just lists everything that ive downloaded (none could be installed)

recently i got little concerned since my computer have been restarting
spontaneously, and everytime it restarts it display this "windows has
recovered from a serious error"

so i ve been thinking its something with the update

is there anything wrong?

PS the restarting this is really making me frustrated.

I cant use my computer properly now, it always restarts sponatenously, when
i m chatting with a friend or writing a paper, even when i m just browsing
the internet

The restart happens after i execute a command, like i click a button or hit
the keyboard... its strange...

What is in EVENTVWR.MSC logs?
