Yahoo! Home Page issues

I use IE8 and have Yahoo! as my home page. I think my issue is Yahoo, and
not IE.

The problem is the links on the Navigation Pane that open automatically
because the cursor strays into the airspace. I like the links, but I don't
like them to open just because the mouse does a fly over.

I can't find a setting that requires a mouse click before the on-screen
experience changes. I don't want to eliminate the Navigation Pane, I can do
that by using the Compact View (Page Options>Compact View), but that does
not give me what I want.

How do I stop the feature that allows a flyover to invoke the opening of a
link?

I use Yahoo as well, and I find that irritating too. However, it's the way
Yahoo programmed the page. You'd be better off talking to them as IE only
translates the page. Their feedback link is at the bottom right under About
Yahoo.

You can Edit your favorites list, and reorder so that the "opening links"
are at the bottom, so that you don't trip them. Some of the links do not
expand (such as My Yahoo!), keep those at the top.

What I've found is to avoid hovering the mouse over the links until you want
to look (at Yahoo Mail, for example).

I gave them my feedback. It was not pretty. Not rude, but not pretty. They
have not responded yet.

That's the problem, the mouse is prone to hovering and this is annoying. I
do not want the page to dictate my experience, I want my experience to
dictate the page.

Thanks. Send your feedback too ...

Jeff,
I find it annoying also. I thought the Bellsouth home page was much better.
Did you email them you're feedback?
