Anyone got any ideas when the Yahoo Messenger integration will show up? Or
is that going to be the final big surprise?

That was a real fiasco... lol...I can remember the handshake to close the
msn- yahoo deal.. Lol...

I dont think it will happen soon... not in MSN Mess 8 live at least.

IM network merger is something too idealistic to happen in the competitive
nature of today
unless one company buys the other like AOL who got ICQ.

However, there is a protocol that merges all IM networks in to one.

Its called Jabber...and its opensource

How will that help? Public IM integration is handled by the a Live Communications Server
federated license.

That's handled by the server, the Office Communicator client itself is nothing but a
lightweight SIP client.

yes I know, we bought exchange and live communcations to run on a windows
2k3 server

first half of 2006 is the offical word from Yahoo and MSN. although i think
Yahoo might bring it out sooner then Windows Live/ MSN
