Yahoo msngr

When I download yahoo messenger, then it's installing, it usually stalls at
about 4% and says download of file has been canceled or interrupted. File not
competely downloaded. and it gives me the opetion to abort or retry, but when
i retry nothing happens. I've tried downloading & installing several times..
Any suggestions?

I have a couple suggestions. Several of which you may have already
tried.

First, when you are running the installer after downloading the file,
are you right clicking on it and choosing 'Run As Administrator'? or
have you tried right clicking on it, selecting properties, choosing the
compatability tab and check marking run in win xp sp2 compatibility mode
+ run as administrator rights checkmark boxes?

Second, I only say this because I don't want you to go through this
work only for additional frustration. Are you using it for voice
chatting? There are known compatibility issues involving the DSP
TrueSpeech Codec pack not being installed correctly that afaik 2 weeks
ago still wasn't resolved. As a result, no yahoo voice chatting.

I've tried a number of suggested work arounds but eventually had to use
a third party yahoo messenger program. Its a several-in-one chat app
called 'Trillian'. Its available for download for free and pretty easy
to setup. To find the application you could just google 'Trillian' or
visit Download.com or any other major freeware file download site.

I tried Trillian to get voice chat from yahoo but still couldn't get it
working properly, are you sure the voice chat works on Vista?,

Voice in a Yahoo chat room is not possible regardless of the chat client
used, but one can still make PC to PC calls, according to Yahoo..

i am using vista businees. i am trying to chat using yahoo messenger. i am
able to talk but my image is not transmmitted.
if any body has tried yahho messenger in vista

I use vista ultimate on my laptop and on my desktop and have yahoo messenger
8.1 installed on both. I haven't had any problems and didn't have to do
anything special to get it to work.

Does it give you and error???

This seems to be a common Yahoo Messenger problem.

Yahoo will have to update their program.

Check the Yahoo forums.
