I'm getting this message "Your registry settings for this application were
not copied correctly" when I try to run AutoRoute 2007. I tried to uninstall,
clean the registry, and reboot the installed it again but the same error is
coming. Any help?

I misread, I thought the installation had corrupted your Registry.

Check out this KB article:

I tried adopting this article to Vista Ultimate since it doesn't mention the
steps for Vista, at the end the program worked only with the new user
account. When I go to my original user account it doesn't work & I get the
same error. Does that mean I have to create a new user account and switch
between accounts just to run a Microsoft Auto Route 2007 program under
Microsoft windows!

I don't believe this is the case Microsoft want, unless I did something wrong.

Try this suggestion posted by Gerd for AutoRoute 2005, might be applicable
to 2007:
Check if the log file points to the c:\program files directory. That would
not be allowed in Vista. If it does just change the location to another
directory on your system and it should work. However, this is only a problem
with UAC switched on.

You might want to post your problem in the follow ngs, maybe someone there
can give you a better answer or possible solution.
microsoft.public.automap
microsoft.public.uk.autoroute

Hi,

One solution I found can be worked around by
switching off UAC [User Account Control] or right clicking the program file
and running as Administrator. Not a fix but beats switching users.

All the best,
George
