No problem. My first time, too. I eventually solved my problem by going to
Microsoft's knowledge base. Did a query. I think I typed something simple
like scanning for updates, or zero updates. Anyway, it homed in on the
problem pretty quickly, and the problem and fix was obvious. Turns out there
was a very small, free patch that needed to be downloaded and installed. Once
I did that, it now scans, downloads and works normally. Wish I could remember
the exact details, but if you try my suggestion of going to the Microsoft
knowledge base, you should be able to get there and do the download to
totally remedy your issues. Good luck!
