I have a customer that has a 2000 domain with one server that is a domain
controller running in native mode. My customer has purchased another server
in which 2003 will be installed.

Now for the question...is it possible or recommended to have a 2003 server
to be a domain controller in a 2000 domain? If so, do I need to prepare the
forest and domain via adprep for the 2003 domain controller? Unfortunately,
my customer is relunctant to upgrade their 2000 domain controller to 2003 at
    this time.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    David

Run Adprep (forestprep & domainprep) in the 2000 domain and then DCPROMO
the 2003 server into the domain. It will work without a problem.
