    Hello everyone

Wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase the new remote here in
Canada. Most of the US suppliersi.e Newegg will not ship up here so I would
like to buy it locally. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Try PCAlchemy.com. They will ship to Canada and their
    service is excellent.

    Hi Kraig

Thanks for the feedback, Great price for the remote. On that note I just
purchased a RF keyboard and mouse to use with MCE and it works great, any
drwbacks to this as compared to the Microsoft remote?

  6. Why is this such a "great price"? Ive seen them around US$33. What is
going on with Canadian mail order houses anyway? You'd think they ignore
all the appreciation in the C$. And you have to pay GST as well.

  7. Don't forget you have to pay brokerage charges as well for the privilage of
importing more than $20USD when it crosses the border into Canada. It's not
a simply US price + dollar conversion rates.

A $33USD item quickly will become $70 CDN. The appreciation in price
includes the hassle of having to pay two seperate bills for imported items.
Only a few US retailers charge CDN brokerage at point of sale.

Only drawback I see is the remote is a lot smaller than a mouse and keyboard
and snuggling up to a keyboard and mouse on the couch doesn't have the same
effect as a small remote. :)
