Hello all. I first encountered this problem running IE 6 on Windows XP, Service Pack 2, but even after an upgrade to IE 7 I still cannot resolve my problem. Whenever I right click on on an image in the browser (on any web page) and select SAVE PICTURE AS, I receive the message "Could not complete the operation due to error 8007ffff." When I click on the HELP button on this message, the new message reads "Cannot find the file c:\windows\system32\mshtml." It then prompts me to find the document myself. Can anyone help me? I've found a few references to each problem on the web, but never related. None of the tips those sites suggested worked. I just want to save images again. Thank you.
I've been using XP for the past two years with IE6. I just installed IE7 (why oh why did I do it?) and have the exact same problem. It always says can't find "mshtml.hlp" file. According to Microsoft there is no such file and it is a problem with the developers program (DHMTL). I never had the problem with IE6. I have searched everywhere for a fix but none exists that I can Find. And of course MS cannot be contacted without paying big time. No wonder Gates is wealthier then Warren Buffett. I may have to go back to IE6. I don't find IE7 that much better or "easy" to use. NevBud
can't download images I have the same problem - but intermittantly. If I forward the email with the pictures to my gmail account, I can download them with no problem. So I think the problem is somewhere with Windows or Outlook Express. IE8 and Windows XP
