Access denied on DialogBoxParam from loggen on user

Discussion in 'Windows Vista Help' started by Oleh Derevenko, Nov 2, 2008.

  1. Hi, All

So, here is the problem. I create a token with LogonUser for the same admin
account that current process is running under (I just provide the
credentials of current user). Then I create a process with that token via
CreateProcessAsUser. Process executable file has a manifest embedded with
required elevation level "asInvoker". When that process tries to call
DialogBoxParam with a dialog resource from its own binary, it gets Access
Denied error. What could be the reason for that?

    Thank you for any suggestions.
