Is it possible to upgrade an exeeded 180 days trial version of Windows 2003
enterprise server, so that all the settings are kept ? BTW does the trail
version keeps running when you are logged on at day 181 and dont log of ?

    greetings Rob.

  2. Hi,

You can upgrade the expired evaluation by booting off of a full Enterprise
CD (you'll be asked if you want to upgrade)

Unlike activation, which allows you to stay logged in after the grace
period, the time bomb in Windows evaluations will prompt you 1 hour before
the evaluation expires, and then at the end of the hour (and thus, the end
of the evaluation) it will blue screen with a message that your trial
expired, and it will never boot into regular mode again. If the PC is off
when the evaluation expires, then the copy of Windows simply won't start in
    regular mode again
