    I have a new SPV C550 phone and am trying to set up Active Sync on my newly
    build laptop to download all my contacts and calendar appointments (imported
    from old PC/Outlook mailbox).

    Software will load and wizard starts, but when chosing my Sync Options I
    only have a select box next to Inbox, not Task, Calendar or Contacts.,
    therefore I cannot select them for configuration. Also if I select Inbox and
    choose Settings, it iwll not open the settings ...

    I have installed Active Sync before (many times). I am a local admin on the
    laptop I am using, I have disabled AV scanning

    An help or suggestions appreciated.

    well.....

    The problems you described have zero to do with the handset... suggest
    you continue to persue it as you are likely to face them again.

    Specifically;

    installed activesync as admin?

    Installed from the CD that shipped with the handset? (_don't_ install
    the MS download)

    outlook 2000 or above installed? (it's free with windows devices... see
    cd and look for the install key on the cd sleeve or other material) OE
    is not compatible with AS.
