ActiveSync 3.8 - not opening ActiveSync when connecting?

    Installed directly over 3.7.1 and have discovered a bug... at least on
    my machine...

    When I connect my iPAQ, ActiveSync (3.8) does not start... I must open
    it manually (e.g., right click on the task bar icon "Open MS
    ActiveSync". Yes, the option is checked under Tools/Options/Rules...

    I have never experienced this apparent bug in any previous version of
    A/S.

    Any others experiencing this?
