ActiveSync 4.5 Get Device Certificates and Activate Information Rights Management?

I installed ActiveSync 4.5 Beta 2 a while ago and noticed that both the
Advanced Options 'Get Device Certificates' & 'Activate Information Rights
Management' were greyed out. I assumed this was due to the software being
beta. Now the final version of AS 4.5 has appeared and both these options
are still greyed out. There is nothing in the help file except how to use
these options and I can't seem to find anything on MS's site nor a Google
    search.
Any ideas why these options are not available? My PC is on a Native Active
Directory (2003) domain with an Enterprise CA installed (2003 Enterprise
Server) and working perfectly (it pushes machine certificates down to all
    the Client PC's (2000, 2003 & XP).

    Thanks

    Andy

  2. Hi,
Part of what ActiveSync 4.5 enabled was Windows Mobile 6.0.

The Get Certficates is available only for Windows Mobile 6.0 devices. I
suspect the same is true for the Activate Information Rights Management
however I do not have an IRM server.

Thanks for that Chris. It would be nice if there was a reference to that
information in the help or release notes.....
