ActiveSync all of the sudden says that I have never sync'ed with this PC yet I had done so this morn

All of the sudden ActiveSync is treating the connection between my HP IPAQ
4705 and PC as a new connection that has never Sync'ed data before. Yet I
synched about 3-4 hours ago successfully. All I did was add two calendar
entries on the iPAQ since last synch. It is complaining about the Calendar,
Contacts and Notes. Last time I synched I ended up with thousands of
duplicate contact entries and duplicate calendar entries.

Any suggestions? I don't have time to keep cleaning up problems with
    ActiveSync.

  2. Try a soft reset.

If that doesn't work, you may want to just create a new partnership -
delete the old one by going File -> Delete Partnership, then reconnect
the device and go through the Partnership Wizard. If there haven't
been any changes to any of the contacts, calendar entries, etc. on the
device, I'd recommend telling it to overwrite everything on the device
with the data on the computer during the partnership wizard.

    Rob:

    Thanks for the quick response.

I can rebuild it but this is the second time for this to happen. Says there
are 2500+ changes to make. I can manually transcribe the 2-3 contacts and
the 2-3 appointment changes that were made since this morning's successful
sync, if I can locate them.

This becomes a major problem to try to depend on using a PDA when you have
    to rebuild occasionally.

  4. Honestly, I've never had to delete a partnership and recreate it - it
definitely shouldn't be a regular occurance.
