I have a 2-node Server 2003 file sharing cluster. Is it possible to add a 3rd
    node with Server 2008?

  2. You cannot join a 2K8 node to a 2K3 cluster.

    Thanks for the quick response.

What is the recommended path of upgrading to the 2008 Cluster?

What application(s) are we talking about?

It is just a file sharing and print server.

  6. In your case, it would probably be a situation where you can use the
migration wizard in Windows Server 2008 Failover Clustering to migrate the
settings, and either take an outage to manually copy all content to storage
used by the 2008 cluster or use the same storage for the 2008 cluster.

There are lots of great articles on Microsoft's web site about the wizard.

Of course, I highly recommend using it in a test environment first.
