i am reading the ADMT migration guide, and it says in order to migrate a
users local profile (profile on the workstation) i first need to migrate the
user account, and then run ADMT again but this time run the security
translation wizard, and select previously migrated objects.

I alwasy thought that when a machine account was migrated then this
migrated the users local profile. Am i correct?

That's correct, Security Translation is part of the computer migration. What
this is referring to, is that you need to migrate your user accounts first
and then choose security translation of previously migrated objects, in order
for ADMT to know Source/Target user pairs (i.e. SID-Mapping between source
    and target).

This is more evident looking at the command line syntax:

    admt security /n ComputerName1 computerName2 /sd:SourceDomain /td:TargetDomain

    admt security /{n|includename} "Name1"[ "Name2"]...

Name is the name of the computer to migrate. Place the name of the computer
in quotation marks. Separate multiple computer names with a space.

    Best Regards,
