Why when I press F8 at startup it doesn't give me the boot option screen?

    Hi Surfeye,
thanks, I was able to use the F8 command by pressing F8 several times while
booting the computer and finally it recognized it and let me see the advanced
    options.
    I'm all set now.
Thanks to both you and kiran

  7. When I read your first post, I was going to say that it's a (very
frustrating) matter of timing, and you usually have to press F8 several
times at just the right time. Since you seem to have found that out on
your own, let me just reinforce what you think.

I probably succeed in getting to the boot options only 3/4 of the time
    - my success rates for the BIOS and for Safe Mode are similar :)

I have no idea what Surfeye and Kiran were trying to say...
