How can i make this short and to the point??

    I have XpProSP2 Installed in a Raid 0+1 on two Baracuda's 80G's 10000rpm
    drives,
I also Have a Seagate 120G on a Raid 0 Partioned in half for Vista X64
    formatted NTFS as well.
I have read evry article posted here for getting VISTA X64 to run on a raid
NForce3 chipset, It seems that everyone has different experiances in getting
it to run on a Dual boot from X32 to X64.

I have another DEV machine running XP proSP2 X32 and X64Pro and the install
went flawlessly The rigs are Identical in the raid arrays. except for the
    Drive sizes.
Vista refuses to cooperate with me , Day three and no joy, Dvd boots Vista
starts to load, no options shown at this point, The Install screen comes up
go to install, and you get the Unable to determine the HD's in the system.

So The case in point has any one got around this, how can I get the raid
drivers loaded if Vista will not give you the option to load???

If I disable all the sata's and raid options on the Twin Baracudas, leave
the Seagate set in Raid, Vista will go through like a champ, are the Dev
Builders planning on allowing a dual boot X32 and X64 on the Final release??

I would really like to here from a Dev on this issue if possible? Thanks for
taking the time to read this.

I would also love to see someone offer a solution to this, at this point...
really, Tony, good luck. This type of question (and the answer) is what will
make or break Vista, or turn it into another millenium. I have a
suggestion, but it's not well formulated enough to propose yet.

I don't have a solution for you but RAID 0 takes at least two drives. RAID
0+1 takes at least four drives. How many drives do you have?

My Bad, Edit that 0 on the Baracudas and Two Seagatates as well in 0, I
guess the frustration level of trying to get this got to me last night. I di
d manage to shut down the primary set of 80's eliminated the second Raid
which is on an MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum Bios rev 1c
And the install will go through on Sata 3 & 4 slots, No OC in use Relaxed
    timings,

I still don't understand your setup but it sounds like you got it installed.
If you are still having problems installing please post more details of how
the hard drives are hooked up and to which controllers.

    My Appologies Kerry,

I Have two Drives of equal value Two 80Gig Baracuda's Raid 0 with XP Pro X32
These drives are partioned as such NVIDIA STRIPE 149.06G C:> 50878MB and
    D:>101755MB

The Partioned Drive for the Vista Install
    NVIDIA STRIPE 186.31G Divided evenly

what happens, is if i keep the raid arrays active and try to install VISTA
Vista will not reconize the drive configurations , If I shut down the XP32
Raid and Leave the Raid config for the VISTA i will go through, This is fine
if I want to change my Bios options every time I want to run VISTA by
    changing the boot order.

This is what I do not want to do, I would like to be able to Dual Boot XP32
and Vista, I am able to do this with X32 Pro and X64 Pro on my Dev Machine,
which is set up just the same , but with smaller Dual 40G drives.

Alot of the threads state to load the 64bit driver prior to install, but
here's where i am Illiterate on this, If Vista will not reconize the drive
configs, And we all know you can not load 64 bit drivers on a 32 bit system,
    how can this be accomplished?

    Thanks for replying....

See that is the exact problem, It will not allow you to get to that part of
the install, It gets as far as install now and that is it, It sounds as if
this is a definite bug in the build, Maybe the code can be switched to
install drivers prior to the OS Itself.

On a side note I was able to load x64 on the partioned raid, the start the
Install of vista via the x64 OS , Down side is one dvd rw cdrw drive, and on
reboot i get a stop error which appears to be oriented towards the dvd rom...
