After applying all of the latest XP Updates (April, 13) IE not Ok

Discussion in 'Internet Explorer' started by Roberto Balzarotti, Apr 14, 2006.

  1. Hello,
yesterday I applied all of the security updates (critical and not critical),
and now the IE has problems accessing the XP Update Internet page and another
    Internet application.

Do you have any idea (uninstall, or ...) ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards,
    Roberto.

    PS: Happy Easter !!

  2. i just felt the need to say to all who are using IE,those who are having
problems and those who are not: why are'nt you using Firefox? i have no
problems, and many lovely extensions & themes...i know this is an MS
Newsgroup, and all who post here and dedicated users (are'nt we all by
default?) but if u try it, you will love it- I Guar-an-tee!(and belive it or
not, i have no affiliation with Mozilla whatsoever...)

I tried Firefox, and am not impressed. People want to use IE because it is
the most stable of browsers, and the most widely accepted. Firefox has its
issues too. I personally dont trust "extensions" that are written by "who
knows" and are then to be integrated into my browser.
And before you respond IE7 is not stable, its a beta preview and isnt being
presented as a "ready for business" browser.

I've been a fan of Firefox for quite a while myself, but quite frankly, IE 7
(even beta preview 2) is superior.

I have had just about 'zero' problems with IE7 (BPV2), and love the way it
works. I've got some issues with certain software that uses IE for
navigation, but that is because the software vendor hasn't updated.
Sure, I've had very few lockups/crashes, and overall, extremely pleased.
And had NO problem filing my taxes (using TaxCut).
