Album art.jpg

  1. Hello folks:

In my folder of mp3 files, I've got a system file of albumartsmall.jpg.
I've also had another bunch of jpg files - pictures of album covers. I
don't even have most of those albums. I've always thought that the album
art was contained within the mp3 file itself. Am I wrong, and what the heck
are those album art jpeg files?

    Thanks for the info,
    Glenn

Well... they're just what you think they are: the album cover(s). There
should be 4 altogether for each album. Folder.jpg (large size), another
large one and 2 small ones. They're used for different purposes or at least
were historically. You can also put the art in each mp3 or wma file, using
separately available tools, but it's smaller and faster to have one set per
album. The Folder.jpg is also used for "icon" views.
