Allowing a Helpdesk User, or Group, to add users to a specific gro

  1. Hello all,

I am running a Windows server 2003 server as a terminal server. There is an
application that has been installed that the Local Administrators are not
managing fully. I am trying to allow the makers of this application to set
rights for their program, without affecting anything else on the server. How
can I give this user, or their group the ability to add users to a group they
need for their program without making them administrators for the domain?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Create a new Local Group on the server, then create a new Global Group in a
new OU on the domain. Add the Global Group to the Local Group on the server
then delegate control of the OU to people who need permission to add or
remove people to and from the Global Group.
