Just got a new server with 2003 server. Set up active
directory and DNS and DHCP and File Server. Have a
database program that stores the data base on server. So I
shared the folder and allowed domain users full access.
The program must have access to this shared folder. The
program uses the workstation username and password to
access shared folder on server. The program never starts.
it stops responding. The reason is because "if i go to
network neighborhood and try to open the server to view
files it asks for username and password." THis is the
whole problem, the db program cant access the db file
cause you have to be logged on as administrator and use
admin password. How do i stop the server from constantly
asking for username and password. please help extrememly
    desperate.

Set up a user account for the DB Program to use to access
the shared file. Just like SQL you must have a seperate
user account for SQL. Check the installation paperwork on
    your program.
