After lurking in these newsgroups awhile I decided to buy a true hdcp hdmi
output video card to output to my digital 22" monitor and my home theater hi
def TV. My Intel 945G "big lake" (gateway OEM) motherboard has 8 channel
Sigmatel Audio 7.1ht audio on board and works great on the PC but I would
like to output s/pdif through the HDMI cable to the TV. There doesn't appear
to be pinouts on the board to connect to the HDMI cable inputs on the video
card. There is an optical s/pdif output but no coaxial output on the
motherboard rear plate. Intel won't respond to me (because its OEM to
Gateway) and Gateway technical won't go beyond "if there's no plug for it on
the rear plate, it's not compatible." The link to the motherboard is
    http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/Intel2/103938/103938mv.shtml
The audio card is an MSI NX7600GT Diamond Plus PCI-E,DVI-I,HDTV/VIVO/HDMI
    Any help is appreciated.

I consider it compatible because for very little money you can get a optical
to coax converter cable. I found lots of them using Google.
