I am running Windows 2000 Server. I have several different application that
run off a particular drive. When i start the application it gives me an
    "Access denied error".
I have checked all permissions on the drive and they are fine. It seems
some how the (system? application?) does not have permission to access the
    data location.

Also the only problem i see is that the Logical Disk Manager is listed as a
problem device. We can still browse the files and folders.

All local policies have been reviewed.

Only thing that was done recently on the server was to add a user. And
someone created a folder on the data partition. Then deleted it. And then
restored it from the recycle bin. We have noticed the the recycle bin says
that it is corrupt. We can still have the empty bin option but it does not
    quite remove everything.

The applications run off one drive and accesses data on another drive.
We tried to copy the data to one drive and still same access denied error.

    Anyone have any ideas?
