I installed SUS SP1 over an existing installation of SUS
1.0. When I accessed the SUS Admin page, everything
worked fine. I synchronized to a local folder on my
server, which worked perfectly. However, the Approve
Updates page would not even appear because it could not
find the Global.asp file. I had to go into
and edit line 2 to give it the proper path. It worked,
but the Approve Updates window will not show any updates
so I can review for approval and so forth. I went to
About Software Update Services and then to Troubleshooting
and followed all the recommendations for the Approve
Updates page and so on. I have scoured TechNet as
    well..... No luck!

I'm stumped. The only thing I can think of at this time
is that another .asp file somewhere under the
    \autoupdate\administration\shared folder is not working
properly. Not sure. I have run out of documentation that
can give me a slight hint of where to investigate further
for a lead to a fix.

    Please help. This sucks!

    Zen message reply to self:

I used Google and found one reference to a solution that
works. Move the Content folder to a different location,
Uninstall SUS, uninstall IIS, reboot the server, reinstall
IIS, reinstall SUS, move the Content folder back to its
original location. Now the Approve Updates page will
    display the downloaded updates.

If I can ever help again, Mike, just let me know. You
    know where to find yourself.
