Anyone know why the Approve Updates window organizes the groups in such
a strange way? It's not alphabetical, it's not based on the order the
groups were created in. It doesn't make any sense.

  2. It's a top-secret algorithm we invented.. or a bug that we didn't find until
too late. The order is based on the database's order, so it should remain
consistent even if it is nonsensical. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Any idea what the chances are of it getting fixed in the near-term?
I have a lot of groups so it feels like a lot of my time is spent
scrolling through that list. It would be so nice if my Alpha tester
group showed up at the top and my Beta tester group showed up right
below Alpha. Instead Alpha is almost at the very bottom and Beta is
    buried somewhere in the middle.

  4. It's something we're considering for an SP1 release, but I can't guarantee
    it'll make it in unfortunately.

Let me chime in my support for fixing this ASAP. I have buildings
connected via T1's and have to stagger the group approvals so as not to
saturate the links and it would be SO much easier if they were

What are the possibilities of creating a script to fix the database and
put the groups in alphabetical order?

  6. Wade.. I would think that if the BITS policies were appropriately configured
it would be impossible to saturate a T-1 link!

While I'm all in favor of fixing the issue, let's not justify the actions
based on something that can be fixed in more appropriate ways. :)

Point taken, but that is not my only reasoning for the change. I'd much
rather see the groups alphabetized as it was in 2.0.
