I am trying to add ASP.NET to the security tab of a folder. However when I
search for it, it can not be found.

So I did the obvious of trying to download and install it. It downloaded but
when it went to install I received an error saying that it was installed with
the Operating System. I can not find anything to do with ASP.NET on the
    computer.

So I called a tech person who said that it would have to be removed from the
registry according to a microsoft support article. He came over and did that.
After he left I restarted the computer and tried to add it to the folder.
ASP.NET still can not be found. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Hi May,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

From your description, do you mean you want to add ASP.NET to the security
tab of a folder? You said "ASP.Net installed but not found", can you
    describe the detailed situation?

As I know there is no ASP.NET account you can add to the Security tab of a
folder. If you would do so, you may need to post it in the MSDN newsgroup
and they should be able to provide you more efficient support. The reason
why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified
pool of respondents, and other partners who read the newsgroups regularly
can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.
    Thanks for your understanding.
