Get the following error with windows 2003 backup when using ASR
    ---------------------------
    Backup Utility
    ---------------------------
The files for the recovery diskette could not be created. The operation was
    aborted.
    ---------------------------
    OK
    ---------------------------

    * I have tried several floppies, they are all good as is the floppy drive
    * I have tried article
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;316456
    * I have double checked to make sure the logical disk manager service is
    running

This failure and the ones for other similiar posts appear to have happened
    since may.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

How would that apply. This is a windows 2003 server not xp home edition?
    Differnent OS.

I have noticed that this behavior for Windows 2003 has started since May on
several usenet posts. My configuration is a 2 node failover sql cluster
with a shared quorum. This behaviour happens only on one node. I am using
the other node (the one that backup works to backup the one node and the
quorum). Fortunately this is not a production system. However my my
confidence in the windows 2003 backup utility is somewhat shaken. Since
this is a test system and the system drive is not raided I can use deploy
center to backup the system drive but since the quorum is scsi I was hoping
that the 2003 ntbackup would be sufficient for that drive.
