In my test lab, I've successfully performed an ASR on my HP LC2000 /w 4mm DAT, so I think I know what I'm doing. BUT trying to ASR a Compaq Proliant with DLT VS80 it wont work. Heres the steps: After I install the OS and run ASR ntbackup, it creates floppy and image on the DLT. I delete the partition, boot with the W2K3 OS CD ROM, press F6 (to identify my HP Smart Array 641 controller) then press F2 to start the ASR recovery. Everything go fine until the ntbackup portion is requesting the media. The DLT is in the drive and I press enter but the request screen keeps up asking me to insert the media. I've checked the sif files on the floppy and verified it's looking for the DLT VS80 tape drive. BTW the DLT is an internal drive.
