Audio Codec identified as 2000

Discussion in 'Windows Media Player' started by Cristóbal Suazo, Aug 4, 2004.

  1. I have already gotten this messenge:

"The required codec cannot be found
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the required codec cannot be found. To determine how to obtain the codec identified as 2000, contact the content provider".

I really need this codec to listen a movie file. I shall me glad if anyone here helps me by posting right here or sending me an e-mail to:

  2. It might be the AC3 audio filter. Try the DivX one here and see if it
    helps http://download.divxmovies.com/ac3filter_0_70b.exe

Pls try to avoid loading an all-round codec pack as they can cause a
lot of conflicts, just stick to one at a time so you can back out
    troublesome ones.

    Cheers - Neil
